Responsible gaming information
Gaming should remain optional entertainment. Set limits before starting, never use essential household money and stop when play is no longer enjoyable.
A simple limit plan
| Limit | Decision to make before playing |
|---|---|
| Money | Choose a fixed entertainment amount that does not affect food, housing, bills, debt or savings. |
| Time | Set an end time and use an alarm. Do not extend the session to recover a loss. |
| Frequency | Schedule days without gaming and avoid playing when stressed, angry or tired. |
| Payment | Do not borrow, use another person's wallet or approve an unclear GCash or Maya transfer. |
Warning signs to take seriously
- Chasing losses or increasing the amount after losing.
- Hiding gaming activity or spending from family members.
- Borrowing money, missing bills or selling belongings to continue.
- Gaming for longer than planned or repeatedly breaking personal limits.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or unable to stop.
If any sign applies, stop the session and use a blocking, cooling-off or self-exclusion option. A trusted family member or qualified support professional can also help.
Official Philippine resources
PAGCOR publishes a Responsible Gaming page and a player exclusion program for people who want to bar themselves—or eligible family members—from regulated gaming sites and venues.
Immediate support
If gaming is causing distress or you feel unsafe, stop playing and contact a trusted person or local professional service. The Philippine Department of Health publishes the National Center for Mental Health crisis hotline as 1553. In an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services.
